On this day of Alan's funeral, the Learning2Go team at SAP would like to send our deepest sympathy to Alan's wife, his daughter Michelle and all your families. The team watched his ceremony – what amazing tributes were paid to him. The tributes were funny and impressive and resonated with the clever, funny man we knew, if only on a business level. His friends who spoke about his global legacy and training in negotiation and sales skills were spot on. We can vouch for that, his having worked with us here in SAP for years. He was hugely respected across the different teams; he trained up so many of our sales people and tirelessly shared his knowledge and expertise in negotiations. And he always wanting to perform to the highest standard. My abiding memory was his great Liverpool accent and I was delighted to hear that he was of Irish extraction, my being Irish. He could make me laugh even when we were knee deep in serious business conversations. Finally to say that Alan is considered a great colleague of ours and we’ll miss him a lot.
